September 4th 2008: In a late night match, Venus and Serena had quite a battle but unfortunately, Venus came out as the loser this time, coming down 7-6, 7-6..

September 1st 2008: Venus was in action today and posted a very impressive 6-1, 6-3 win against world #11 Agnieszka Radwanska, she will now face her sister Serena in the quarterfinals!

August 30th 2008: Good news as Venus won her match today in the US Open as she defeated Ukraine's Alona Bondarenko with a 6-2, 6-1 win, she will now face agnieszka Radwanska!

August 28th 2008: Good news as Venus won her match today in the US Open as she defeated Paraguay's Rossana De Los Rios with a 6-0, 6-3 win, she will now face Alona Bondarenko.

August 26th 2008: Good news as Venus won her match today in the US Open as she defeated Australia's Samantha Stosur with a 6-2, 6-3 win, she will now face Rossana De Los Rios...

August 14th 2008: Sad news as Venus lost her match today in the Summer Olympics as she lost to China's Na Li 5-7, 5-7.

August 13th 2008: Good news as Venus won her match today in the Summer Olympics as she defeated Belarus's Victoria Azarenka with a 6-3, 6-2 win, she will now face Na Li.

August 12th 2008: Good news as Venus won her match today in the Summer Olympics as she defeated Czeck Republic's Iveta Benesova with a 6-1, 6-4 win, she will now face Victoria Azarenka.

August 11th 2008: Good news as Venus won her match today in the Summer Olympics as she defeated Switzerland's Timea Bacsinszky with a 6-3, 6-2 win, she will now face Iveta Benesova.

July 19th 2008: Venus was scheduled to play in Los Angeles next week but withdrew because of tendonitis in her right knee..:(

July 11th 2008: Venus was back in action again in WTT and she helped her team post a 22-21 win against Boston:) Venus won her singles 5-4 against Marie-Eve Pelletier. She also won in doubles but lost her mixed doubles:)

July 10th 2008: Venus was in action again as she helped her team won 19-17. She won 5-4 against Madison Brengle but lost in doubles and mixed doubles...

July 9th 2008: Venus was back in action yesterday playing in World Team Tennis, for her team the Philadelphia Freedoms. Her team won 25-15 as Venus won 5-2 in singles against Madison Brengle and she also won in doubles and mixed doubles:)

July 6th 2008: Venus was able to finish off her Wimbledon with a win against her sister Serena, she had a slow start but recovered quickly to win 7-5, 6-4 and win her 5th career title in Wimbledon. They combined together to win the ladies doubles title 6-2, 6-2 against #1 seeds Samantha Stosur and Lisa Raymond.

July 3rd 2008: Venus had a very solid start today in Wimbledon and after a bit of a recovery from her Russian opponent, Venus finished her off in 2 sets, a 6-1, 7-6 win over Elena Dementieva! She will now face sister Serena in the final!

July 1st 2008: Good news as Venus won her match today in the Wimbledon as she defeated Thailand's Tamarine Tanasugarn with a 6-4, 6-3 win, she will now face Russia's Elena Dementieva up next in the semifinals!!

June 30th 2008: Good news as Venus won her match today in the Wimbledon as she defeated Russia's Alisa Kleybanova with a 6-3, 6-4 win, she will now face Tamarine Tanasugarn.
