September 6th 2008: Serena posted a solid win in windy conditions yesterday, she defeated Dinara Safina with a 6-3, 6-2 win!! She will now face world #2 Jelena Jankovic in tonight's singles final!!! September 4th 2008: Serena came out with a big win against big sister Venus yesterday night, she won 7-6, 7-6 after making a nice comeback in the 2nd set. “I thought for sure we’d be in three sets,” Serena said. “I thought, ‘I’m going to go change my dress because I’m really sweaty and put a new one on.’ And then I was like, ‘Oh, maybe I won’t have to do that.”’ Up next for Serena will be #6 seed Dinara Safina. September 1st 2008: Serena advanced to the quarterfinals today as she defeated Severine Bremond with a 6-2, 6-2 win!! July 14th 2008: Serena was back in action playing in World Team Tennis as she helped her team win 18-16 against Newport thanks to Serena's 5-0 win in singles against Lilia Osterloh and her wins in doubles and mixed doubles:) Serena now heads to Stanford where she will play as the #1 seed. It will be Serena's first event since her loss in the Wimbledon final. “I don’t like losing period, it doesn’t matter to who,” Serena Williams said. “I obviously want to do well so I just have to keep going. I’m just taking it every day at a time. Her team lost 22-19 even though Serena won her singles against Marie-Eve Pelletier 5-2. Serena also won in doubles but lost her mixed doubles match..!
