Meghann was a later starter than many players as she started playing tennis at age 7..she rapidly developed a very good serve which now is her best shot. At 14, Meghann was finalist at the junior French Open, her weaker surface! She also won the 16 and under USTA clay court championships..

Meghann won her first singles title at the Heineken Cup in Shangai, China in 2000..
