After a 6-4, 6-0 loss today in the Australian Open second round against Daniela Hantuchova, her singles career is now over! Doubles is still left though:) January 18th 2005: In what is supposed to be her last tournament, Barbara won her first match at the Australian Open 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 against Tiffany Welford, she'll now face Daniela Hantuchova. October 28th 2004: Barbara was defeated against Jelena Jankovic 6-3, 6-1 today... October 27th 2004: Babsi won today in Linz her first round match against Martina Sucha 6-4, 6-4, up next is Jelena Jankovic. October 4th 2004: Babsi was back in action as she tried to qualify for the main draw in Filderstadt but she lost her opening match against Lisa Raymond:( August 31st 2004: Playing in the US Open, Babsi lost in 3 sets today in New York against Anna Chakvetadze. August 5th 2004: Babsi lost a 3 set battle today against Sandrine Beltrame.. August 3rd 2004: Babsi won in two sets against Lubomira Kurhajcova today in Stockholm, she will now face Sandrine Beltrame.. July 27th 2004: Barbara lost in two sets against Anastasia Myskina today in Los Angeles... July 26th 2004: Babsi needed 3 sets but defeated Jill Craybas to advance to the second round in San Diego July 21st 2004: Babsi lost her match today against Amy Frazier.. July 20th 2004: Babsi won 6-3, 6-4 against Claudia Schaul today in L.A, up next is Amy Frazier. July 11th 2004: Very strong play by Barbara helped her team secure a 4-1 upset over USA as they won the remaining 3 matches today! First Babsi won 6-3, 6-2 against Chanda Rubin and the win was then secured by a Barbara Schwartz win over Lisa Raymond! Then, Babsi and Patricia Wartusch won doubles against Navratilova and Craybas!
