Biography

Aranxta was born June 18th, 1971, in Barcelona, Spain. She has a sister and 2 brothers. Her brothers Emilio and Javier have both competed on the ATP tour. Emilio is now Aranxta's coach.

Aranxta has been ranked as high as number 1 in the world on many occasions. She first reached that spot February 6, 1995. Other highlights of her career include winning the French Open on 3 occasions and the US Open once. 

Aranxta has always been a very charismatic personnality on the tour and is still very popular everywhere she goes. She was married this summer and hopes to have children in the futur but her priority right now is still on tennis.
