July 11th 2003: Sorry for the delay in reporting these news but Laura was playing in the 50K tournament in Vittell, France this week. In qualifying, she posted three big wins over Napaporn Tongsalee then Tatsiana Uvarova and fianlly qualified for the main draw with a win over Beti Sekulovski. Her tournament ended in her next match as she lost against Evelyn Fauth in straight sets.
June 23rd 2003: Laura is back in action as she was playing the qualifying tournament in Perigueux, a 25K event. After winning her first match against Randriantefy (#355 WTA) 7-5, 6-1 but then lost her next match against Edon 4-6, 6-3, 6-2:( She will now be playing doubles there...
June 17th 2003: Ok, so we have some news:) Laura and her team finished 2nd in France in the division 1B so they were promoted to 1A where she lost against Maria Goloviznina (#195 WTA) 6-1, 4-6, 6-1! And also, good news as Laura advanced to #654 in the WTA:)
June 12th 2003: Laura posted a nice win over Camille Pin but today she was defeated in three sets by Claudine Schaul...:(
June 11th 2003: The draw for thev 50K in Marseille is out and Laura will face Camille Pin, from France also, in the first round, let's hope it goes well:)
June 5th 2003: Laura's tournament ended with a 6-4, 6-2 loss in the third round, still congratulations to Laura on a nice tournament:)
June 2nd 2003: I once again have great news as Laura won her second round match today, a 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 win! Now, in the third round, she will face Delia Sescioreanu, from Romania!:) Go Laura:)
June 1st 2003: Nice win today for Laura as she defeated the #9 seed Virag Nemeth, from Hungary, (ranked #270 in the WTA) 1-6, 6-1, 8-6!:) She will now face Russian Anna Tchakvetatze.
May 31st 2003: I have some news about Laura! Well of, course she is in Paris as the junior tournament starts off tomorrow. I do not have the draw yet but will let you know when I do! Sfter playing the Junior French Open, she will head towards Marseill to play a 50K event:)
May 16th 2003: Well teo news today. First off, in a pre-qualifying, Laura lost a close match in the 170 000 tournament in Strasbourg... but.. good news is she received an invitation for the junior French Open:))) Best of luck Laura:)
May 2nd 2003: Well, I have some results from Laura, sorry everyone for the delay:) First, since last writing here, Laura played a junior event, she lost her opening match, not her best tennis. Then, she played a regional junior championship and won the tournament. And then, Laura headed to Toulouse where she won matches against Audrey Hernandez (#550 in WTA), Natasha Randriantefy (#25) and then had only 2 hours to rest before playing in the final where she lost 6-4 6-3 but in over 2 hours!!
