December 27th 2008: Despite speculation, Mary has not announced her retirement and in fact has said she still intends on returning to action, saying that even if it was only to play 1 match at Roland Garros, it would be worth it..!

July 16th 2008: Sad news for Mary fans as she announced she would be unable to play in the Olympics in Beijing after all...

June 19th 2008: It looks like Mary was hoping to return next week in Budapest but had to withdraw because of her ongoing problems with her knee:(

March 2nd 2008: Mary received good news, she can restart training and she hopes to be back on tour in time to play Roland Garros;)

December 9th 2006: Sad news as French Magazine Tennis is reporting that Mary will only be able to make a return in 2008, she has apparently rented a house to start a 1 year rehab program.

October 26th 2006: Mary is in action playing in Linz. She was solid on Tuesday with a 7-6, 7-6 win over Ai Sugiyama!

October 4th 2006 : Unfortunately Mary Pierce suffered a 2 set loss in the Mets 2nd Round, a 6-7, 3-6 loss.

September 26th 2006: Mary was back in action today playing in Luxembourg but she was surprised in her first match losing against Ukraine's Alona Bondarenko 6-3, 6-3!

August 31st 2006: Great news for Mary Pierce as she won her 2nd round at the US Open. She posted a 2 set win against Eva Birnerova, a 6-3, 6-4 win that now puts her up against Na Li.
