July 4th 2006: Flavia was playing some great tennis but it wasn't enough in the end as she was defeated in 3 sets by former Wimbledon champ Maria Sharapova, a 7-6, 3-6, 6-3 loss:( Also, on Friday, Flavia and Sebastien Prietto won in mixed doubles 6-4, 6-3 against Suk and Sukova! In doubles, Flavia and Elena Dementieva won their first round on Friday 6-3, 6-3 against Bammer/ Schruff.
