Biography

Before even arriving on the international scene, Michaela had already made a name for herself. In fact, it was half-brother Richard who did it. In 1996, the not too far relative made highlights by winning the singles tournament in Wimbledon. At the time, Michaela won only 7 years old but had been playing tennis for 4 years already.

She was born January 9th 1989 in Delft, Netherlands from parents Petr and Pavlina.She got many impressive results including Junior titles in both the Netherlands and Czeck Republic (she currently lives in Prague). In 2002, she finished the year #13 in the junior rankings, nothing short of exceptional. And right now, in addition of being the #1 under 14 player in the world, she is in the top 5 in junio rankings!
