May 27th 2004: What an awesome effort by Maria today as she came very close of knocking out the second seed Serena Williams, she went down 4-6, 6-2, 6-4!! More details soon!

May 25th 2004: Good job by Maria today, she advanced with a win over Marie-Gainieh Mikaelian, but a tough test lies ahead as she will face Serena Williams next.

May 21st 2004: Maria is now up to play in the French Open, she will be up against Marie-Gainieh Mikaelian, see the full draw here.

May 18th 2004: Maria was playing a 50K tournament in France last week, and she won!!!! She defeated Servane Delobelle, Tatiana Poutchek, Mariana Diaz-Oliva, Clarissa Fernandez and Stephanie Foretz.
