March 1st 2002: Ashley was playing in Minnessota this week but failed to qualify for the main draw as she lost 7-6, 7-5 against Eva Fislova in the second round of qualifying.

March 2nd 2002: Ashley received a wild card for qualifying in Indian Wells, a big chance for her to gain a few important points..In the first round, she will face fellow American Laura Granville and a win would put her against #6 seed Anca Barna.

March 4th 2002: More improvements this week as Ashley improved to #253 in the world! Things are going in the right direction!

March 18th 2002: Ashley moved to #252 in the singles rankings..
