qualifying, she won her opening match 6-4, 6-1 against Galina
Voskoboeva and then yesterday she posted a nice win against
Vitokriya Kutuzova 7-5,

03.09.2006: Maria-Elena suffered a loss in her first round
match, she lost 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 against
Eleni Daniilidou:(

qualifying on Monday in Indian Wells with a win against S. Uberoi
6-7, 6-4, 6-2. But she then lost to Bohmova 7-6, 2-6, 6-2...!
