October 4th 2006: Great news for Jiri Novak as he won his 2nd round at the AIG Japan Open Tennis Championships. He posted a 2 set win against Andy Murray, a 6-3, 7-6 win that now puts him up against Benjamin Becker.

October 2nd 2006: Jiri is now playing in the Japan Open and he won his first match today 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 against Robin Vik and will now face Andy Murray.

May 25th 2006: Because of rain, Jiri had to play two matches today, and won both! He defeated Juan-Ignacio Chela 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 and then defeated Jurgen Melzer 6-7, 6-4, 6-4! He will now face Nikolay Davydenko tomorrow in the semis...!
