Jiri
Novak was born on March 22nd, 1975, in Zlin (Czech Republic). He began
playing tennis at age six ; in 1993, he was both runner-up and doubles
winner at the European Championships in Lisbon, and he got as far as the
quarterfinals in Wimbledon juniors. He also turned Pro that very same
year. The year later, he won his first ATP title in Prague, on the road to
a very successful tennis career.
