2010-01-26: Things did not go as Rafael was hoping as he ended up being taken out of the Australian Open today. He was suffering from an injury and was unable to finish his quarterfinal match, he was down 6-3, 7-6, 3-0 at the time. This is certainly not the year start Rafa was hoping for.
2010-01-22: Rafa did not play his best tennis today in Melbourne but still managed to advance to the fourth round of the 2010 Australian Open by defeating Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-4, 6-2, 2-6, 7-5, a very tough match where Rafa was far from his best tennis. "You know, everybody have not very good days". In his next match, Rafael Nadal will face giant Croat Ivo Karlovic.

This ends Rafa's tournament, a tough one as he ends up losing all 3 matches.. Rafa is still planning on playing Davis Cup next weekend.
