August 14th 2008: Wow, what an upset for Roger today in Beijing as he was surprised by American James Blake, as he lost 6-4, 7-6...“It was one of the goals of the season for me to do well here,” Federer said. “This obviously is a big blow, because I expected more.”

August 13th 2008: Awesome win today for Roger as he dismissed Thomas Berdych with a 6-3, 7-6 win to reach the quarterfinals, he will now face either Gilles Simon or James Blake.

August 12th 2008: Good news as Roger won his match today in the Summer Olympics as he defeated ESA's Rafael Arevalo with a 6-2, 6-4 win, he will now face Thomas Berdych.

August 11th 2008: Good news as Roger won his match today in the Summer Olympics as he defeated Russia's Dmitry Tursunov with a 6-4, 6-2 win, he will now face Arevalo.

July 29th 2008: Good news as Roger won his match today in the Tennis Masters Cincinnati as he defeated USA's Robby Ginepri with a 6-7, 7-6, 6-0 win, he will now face Ivo Karlovic. “I’m happy I’m back with a one-match winning streak,” Federer joked. “I’m happy I could turn it around today.”

June 15th 2008: Congrats to Roger as he won his first grass title of the year, defeating Philip Kohlschreiber 6-3, 6-4 in the singles final! “I played great tennis all week. I didn’t lose my serve once, which I don’t think I’ve ever managed before in a tournament, so it’s very special for me, and I’m really pleased about it,” Federer told German television.

June 14th 2008: Well Roger was tested a bit more in today's semifinal in Halle, but he managed to advance past Nicolas Kiefer with a 6-1, 6-4 win! He will now face Philip Kohlschreiber in the final tomorrow!!

June 6th 2008: Well, congrats to Roger as today he reached the final of the French Open by taking out French sensation Gael Monfils with a 6-2, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5 win!! Not easy, but Roger advances and will now face world #2 Rafael Nadal.

May 18th 2008; Never easy to play the king of clay and today was no exception, Roger certainly gave his best effort and came close, but in the end, Rafael Nadal  came up with some great shots in key moments, defeating Roger 7-5, 6-7, 6-3 in the Hamburg Masters Series final... still Roger had a great week and now heads to Paris.

May 17th 2008: No stories really today for Roger, he was solid and had for sure the easier semifinal, he won 6-3, 6-1 against Andre Seppi. Tomorrow, in the final, he will face rival Rafael Nadal who needed 3 sets today to take out Novak Djokovic.
