Hey fans! I hope you've been soaking in all of the tennis action this week. Roddick's demise and Sam Stosur's amazing run are just a few big events. I am previewing Bartoli andHarkleroad's quarterfinal matches so enjoy!

Shenay Perry versus Marion Bartoli

Well I find this to be a match between future stars of the WTA.

First we'll take a look at Shenay Perry.

Shenay is a 183 ranked qualifier who wasn't even expected to be in the first round, let alone the quarterfinals! In the first round she took out 2003 Aussie Open quarterfinalist, Virginia Ruano Pascual 6-4 6-3! It was her biggest win ever! People didn't start paying attention to her until she showed great composure in taking out fellow qualifier Tathiana Garbin in three sets! I have only seen her play once so I don't know a lot about her. In the match she played at the U.S. Open I noticed that her game was very solid and her forehand was great. I also noticed that she had trouble hanging on to leads. So this brings me to wondering if she can beat Marion if the lead is in her favor.

Weakness: Overwhelmed? Shenay is in her first ever quarterfinal and playing the world's number 58 so she may be scared being in the spotlight. I could be wrong and she could thrive but I think she may have a letdown.

Wow! Marion has certainly not wasted any time on the court. After whipping Anabel Medina Garrigues she breadsticked accomplished doubles player Cara Black 6-1 6-1. Conceding only 4 games in two matches is extremely impressive and I think she is the woman who has lost the least amount of games in the whole tournament. In this match I think Marion will be anxious to test out Perry's ability to play in a big match. She will be looking to use the crowd to her advantage if necessary because she is a top 60 player. I also think she may play some mind games with Perry and see how she fares.

Weakness: The only weakness that is possible is if Perry just plays utterly scintallating or Bartoli just has a breakdown.

Who has the Edge?

Serve- Bartoli

Groundies- Bartoli

Intangibles- Well thats tough but I am giving it to Perry as she has no

pressure on her.

Movement- Bartoli

Volley- Bartoli ( she is in the doubles quarters with Granville!)

Well it's going to be a hot day and I'm not just talking about Marion Bartoli's play. I think that if Perry holds her own she may even be able to challenge Bartoli and take more games off her than anyone else has so far. For Shenay, well you're in a tough spot but you have nothing to lose. Hit freely and just play the game that you beat Ruano Pascual with! For Marion, I can't give you advice because you're doing well with the advice you're coach is giving to you! Just have fun and work hard!

Matt's Pick: This match bewteen the 19 year olds will end in Bartoli's favor 6-3 6-1.
