Just finished watching the matches today. Azarenka beat an unusually nervous Clijsters 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 making it her first appearance in a Grand Slam final. Shortly thereafter, Maria Sharapova beat Petra Kvitova in three sets 6-2, 3-6, 6-4. Sharapova made a couple of double faults but was a little bit more consistent coming into the final set as Petra's nervous forehand dink sailed long on match point. Maria beat fellow Russian Ekaterina Makarova (who beat Serena) 6-2,6-3 while Petra beat Italy's Sara Errani 6-4, 6-4. Petra sprayed 44 unforced errors but was able to sweep the match in straights.
